"It's Kinda an OS"

Yes, it is. KindaOS is a terminal-based simulation game based off of the Linux terminal -- Even with the commands. In this imaginary OS, the system is fragmented, and you need to fix it! Explore the filesystem, find new programs, and restore the disk. Just be careful! If too many files are in a folder, the "physical" disk will collapse from the weight of the files. Just explore and have fun.

This game is released but will be updated in future. If you find any "Magic Tricks" (bugs), feel free to comment and let me know.

Install instructions

If you want to use KindaOS, you have two options:

  • Download the Linux executable. go to the folder it's in, and use the command `/kos'
  • Download the .py file and run it using python3.7-3.8. For this you will need python3 installed and the os, time, and random libraries installed, though they should come with the python3 package. Once python3 is installed, use the command `python3 kos.py' when in the same folder as kos.py

The program should run as intended.
